Lighting of the footbridge

Raon-l’Étape (France)Road & Mobility

The City of Raon-l’Étape sought to highlight its new pedestrian footbridge with lighting that is functional, poetic, and seamlessly integrated into its surroundings.

The project, designed by Atelier Cité Architecture and supported by landscape designers Grandeur Nature and later ARPAE, is based on a delicate, narrative lighting design created by Scène Publique, with Agathe Argod assisted by Flore Siesling.

Lighting is provided by forty-five BELVAL – 5630 (300 mm) fixtures, discreetly integrated into the structure.
They offer gentle wayfinding, enhance the architecture of the footbridge, and guide users across it, both day and night.
