Notre-Dame de Paris – Lighting of the small forecourt
Some projects transcend their simple function to become symbols.
The rebirth of Notre-Dame de Paris after the 2019 fire is one of them.
As part of the redevelopment of the cathedral’s surroundings, LEC supplied 44 ALLEVARD – 5716 in-ground luminaires, manufactured in our factory in the Rhône-Alpes region. Their soft, evolving light—shifting from a golden white to a warm white as the night progresses—enhances the portals of the west façade while preserving the distinctive nighttime atmosphere of the Seine riverbanks.
This lighting accompanies the transformation of the small forecourt into a green, contemplative space conducive to calm, in harmony with the history and grandeur of the site.
This project fully embodies LEC’s commitment to French craftsmanship—sustainable, innovative, and dedicated to serving world heritage.
