Saint-Gervais-les-Bains Bridge

Saint-Gervais-les-Bains (France)Road & Mobility

The Saint-Gervais-les-Bains Bridge, a true feat of engineering, spans the Bonnant valley with an impressive 170-metre unsupported span, rising nearly 90 metres above the ground.

With a total length of 240 metres and a usable width of 11.90 metres (including two 1.50-metre pavements and two 2.95-metre traffic lanes), this majestic structure deserved lighting that matched its scale.

Road lighting is fully integrated into the structure using 200 BELVAL – 5630 units (300 mm), providing uniform, high-performance, and discreet illumination.

This technical choice ensures:

  • seamless integration with the bridge’s architecture,
  • optimal safety for users,
  • and minimal visual impact on the spectacular natural environment of the Bonnant gorge.
