paragraph\">\n<p>Since the 1960s, the La D\u00e9fense district has gradually built up an exceptional open-air contemporary art collection, comprising 69 major works\u2014both monumental and discreet.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"row\"><div class=\"col-12 col-xl-10 offset-xl-1 paragraph\">\n<p>Defacto, in charge of managing the district, launched the Paris La D\u00e9fense Art Collection programme with a dual ambition:<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"row\"><div class=\"col-12 col-xl-10 offset-xl-1 list\">\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To preserve and restore the existing artworks,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To bring this unique collection back to life by enhancing its visibility and appeal.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"row\"><div class=\"col-12 col-xl-10 offset-xl-1 heading\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span>A comprehensive, sensitive, and innovative approach<\/span><\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"row\"><div class=\"col-12 col-xl-10 offset-xl-1 paragraph\">\n<p>As the winner of the competition launched by Defacto, the Frenak + Jullien Architectes team conceived an enhancement strategy built around three key components:<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"row\"><div class=\"col-12 col-xl-10 offset-xl-1 list\">\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The restoration of the artworks,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The creation of visitor pathways,<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The nighttime lighting of the most emblematic works, entrusted to lighting designers 8\u201918\u2019\u2019.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"row\"><div class=\"col-12 col-xl-10 offset-xl-1 heading\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span>A restrained and demanding lighting design<\/span><\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"row\"><div class=\"col-12 col-xl-10 offset-xl-1 paragraph\">\n<p>Among the selected artworks, 15 benefited from lighting solutions by LEC\u201411 fully illuminated using our systems, and 4 complemented by existing lighting.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"row\"><div class=\"col-12 col-xl-10 offset-xl-1 paragraph\">\n<p>To precisely meet the designers\u2019 vision, only three projector references nearly 200 projectors were installed, each configured with a bespoke mix of optics defined after three weeks of on-site nighttime testing. Each sculpture thus received a unique lighting treatment, finely tuned to respect its volumes, textures, and artistic intent.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"row\"><div class=\"col-12 col-xl-10 offset-xl-1 paragraph\">\n<p>All LEC spots were supplied with integrated dimmers, enabling precise, artwork-by-artwork control.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"row\"><div class=\"col-12 col-xl-10 offset-xl-1 heading\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span>An artistic project<\/span><\/h2>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"row\"><div class=\"col-12 col-xl-10 offset-xl-1 paragraph\">\n<p>This project perfectly embodies LEC\u2019s philosophy: placing light at the service of creation with precision, discretion, and durability. It also highlights the importance of collaboration between designers, architects, installers, and manufacturers in enhancing a living heritage.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"row\"><div class=\"col-12 col-xl-10 offset-xl-1 paragraph\">\n<p>We are proud to have contributed to this ambitious cultural initiative, which allows thousands of passers-by and visitors to (re)discover La
