To enhance its nighttime appeal, the City of Belvoir opted for a respectful approach that is at once aesthetic, environmental, and technical. As lighting designer Thierry Walger explains:<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe lighting of the castle was not to be dictated by visitor numbers or demographic considerations, but by the intrinsic beauty of the site, the region, and its history.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The goal: to reveal the quality of the stonework and the architectural richness of the castle, while avoiding any visual harshness. The choice of a gradual lighting and dimming sequence is part of this commitment to subtlety, offering a natural transition of light that respects the nighttime landscape.<\/p>\n<\/div>            <\/div>\n        <\/div>\n    <\/div>\n\n<\/div>\n\n<div class=\"container\">\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n<div class=\"row\"><div class=\"col-12 col-xl-10 offset-xl-1 heading\">\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">A site steeped in history\u2026 and constraints<\/h3>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n<div class=\"row\"><div class=\"col-12 col-xl-10 offset-xl-1 paragraph\">\n<p><br>Designated a Historic Monument since 1956, Belvoir Castle has a complex history, shaped by the passage of time and successive reconstructions. Together, we\u2019ve completed some wonderful projects and developed lighting fixtures that integrate seamlessly into the sites. Their ability to listen and their responsiveness are invaluable, especially when dealing with the constraints and urgent demands of a project,\u201d explains Thierry Walger<\/p>\n<p>A relationship built on trust that goes beyond simply supplying equipment, toward true co-design in the service of the project\u2019s quality.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Light that tells a story<\/h3>\n<p>Belvoir Castle has now reclaimed its place in the nighttime landscape of the Doubs, not as a dazzling tourist attraction, but as a living structure, whose light reveals its volumes, textures, and soul.
