Reims City Hall – Sculptural Lighting
Since 2019, Reims City Hall has been enhanced by a refined lighting scheme designed to reveal the elegance of its classical architecture once night falls.
More than 200 independent DMX luminaires have been integrated to bring the façades, columns, and bell tower to life. Subtle gradients of white light highlight the sculpted reliefs, while grazing fixtures create a delicate interplay of shadow and light, evoking the gentle flicker of a flame.
At the top, the bell tower is bathed in a soft bluish glow, crowned with a luminous, gem-like feature with metallic reflections that lends a contemporary touch to the overall design.
This project combines technical expertise with artistic sensitivity, featuring meticulous work on optics, contrasts, and lighting dynamics to enhance one of Reims’ most iconic heritage buildings.
